The Syracuse University “Warehouse” project is an element of former Chancellor, Nancy Cantor’s initiative to help revitalize the city center by creating a dynamic downtown presence for the University. The project was designed to be performed in phases to accommodate the needs of two of the University’s schools, the School of Architecture and the School of Visual and Performing Arts.
VIP was hired to manage the construction of the multi-phase project, teaming with architecture firms Gluckman Tang for Phase One and Feidler Marciano for Phase Two. VIP’s architecture firm, VIP Architectural Associates, was hired as the Architect of Record for Phase One and Two and the Design Architect for Phase Three. VIP’s construction team was hired as a Construction Manager.
VIP’s integrated design-build team has worked on numerous projects for SU over the past 15 years and is currently assisting the University with various modernization projects at the Warehouse.
