Pathfinder Bank established its first downtown Syracuse branch in 2014, selecting a 2,100 SF ground-floor space in Pike Block, VIP Structures’ mixed-use development in the heart of downtown.

VIP’s design-build team designed and constructed the new branch with a modern aesthetic that complements the historic character of Pike Block. The space gave Pathfinder a downtown presence while providing an efficient setting for its banking operations.

As the branch grew, Pathfinder expanded its footprint by 2,275 SF in 2018. The expansion added a conference room, private offices, open workspaces, and a large break room, bringing the branch to a total of 4,375 SF.

The relationship continued when Pathfinder partnered with VIP again on the adaptive re-use of a historic mansion for its West Onondaga Street Branch, which opened in 2022.
