Meg-Tidd-CEO-VIPStructures

Meg TIdd

Chief Executive Officer

Established in 1975 in Syracuse, NY, as “Architects Who Build,” VIP Structures provides in-house integrated design/build services, including architecture, engineering, construction, and development. Under the second generation of family leadership since 2021, CEO Meg Tidd continues VIP’s initial integrated design-build culture and couples it with a fresh vision focused on finding “A Better Way” for all people, communities, and the planet.

Meg is a hands-on leader and visionary who inspires, guides, and strengthens VIP’s culture across all operating companies and employees. During her tenure at VIP, Meg has played a pivotal role in the enterprise’s transition to an established second-generation family company and has led the company through multiple initiatives, including a re-branding of mission, vision, and purpose, institutionalizing standard operating procedures, improving data collection and analysis, and a cultural shift driving integration and collaboration across the enterprise. Meg has also instituted company-wide thinking about the well-being of VIP’s workforce, the impact of the company’s decision-making on the environment, and what good we could do for our clients and community. She is constantly pushing to see how we can do better by improving employee benefits, pushing the bounds of MWBE and SDVOB partners, questioning construction waste and how better to manage it, embracing technology and its impact on the building space, and applying our fully integrated knowledge to leverage holistic design and ensure that our projects have positive impacts on their communities.

Meg served as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer for eight years before taking on the CEO role. She is a graduate of the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School, where she obtained an MBA focused on Corporate Strategy and Marketing. Meg is President of the Board for The Gifford Foundation and a board member for Utica First Insurance and the Downtown Committee of Syracuse. She also serves as a member of the Young Presidents Organization and Cornell CEO Peer Forum, and is a Central New York Business Journal 40 Under Forty Honoree and a graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse.
