VIP Structures has been named to Metal Construction News’ 2026 Top Metal Builders list, recognizing leading metal building contractors across the country.
Since 1975, pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs) have played an important role in VIP’s Design-Build and construction work, starting with the company’s first project and continuing through decades of manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, municipal, commercial, and recreational facilities.
VIP served as design-builder for Kris-Tech Wire’s 75,000 SF manufacturing expansion in Rome, NY. The Varco Pruden Hall of Fame-winning project included a pre-engineered metal building addition designed to support Kris-Tech’s specialized manufacturing equipment, production processes, and long-term flexibility.
VIP is a certified Varco Pruden builder with 50 years of PEMB experience, including more than 120 PEMBs totaling over 12.5 million SF across 13 states. The majority of VIP’s PEMB work is concentrated in Central New York, where VIP has helped owners use PEMB systems to support operations, growth, and long-term flexibility.
VIP served as design-builder for Feldmeier Equipment’s 82,500 SF headquarters expansion in Syracuse, NY. The Varco Pruden Hall of Fame-winning project included a 72,500 SF pre-engineered metal building manufacturing addition and a 10,000 SF warehouse tied into the existing facility.
PEMB systems can support efficient schedules, cost-conscious planning, long-span structural needs, and durability. With VIP’s integrated Design-Build approach, design coordination, permitting, procurement, and PEMB erection are managed through a coordinated process.
VIP is proud to be included among Metal Construction News’ 2026 Top Metal Builders. This recognition also reflects the people and partnerships behind the work, including VIP’s in-house steel erection crews and its long-standing relationship with Varco Pruden Buildings.
VIP served as design-builder for Food Bank of Central New York’s 34,000 SF office and warehouse expansion in Syracuse, NY. The Varco Pruden Hall of Fame-winning project included two pre-engineered metal building warehouse additions and a two-story conventional steel office addition to support the organization’s growing operations.
