Paulus Development Partners with VIP Architectural Associates on adaptive re-use of historic landmark

Paulus Development is certainly no stranger to ambitious development projects in Central New York and across the state. Most recently, VIP Architectural Associates (VIPAA) was engaged by Paulus Development to help transform the old Smith Restaurant Supply Building located at 500 Erie Boulevard East. With the lead of historic preservation expert, Bob Garner, the team developed the historic landmark into 38 upscale apartments while maintaining the integrity of the 150 year old building.

The Smith Supply Warehouse project is part of an established partnership between VIPAA and Paulus Development. In 2017, our team completed a similar project which saw the conversion of historic, Dietz Lantern Factory into luxury lofts. (pictured below)

Currently underway, VIPAA also contributed to Paulus’ latest project, the redevelopment of the 275,000 square foot EJ Victory Factory in Johnson City, New York. The project will introduce 156 market-rate apartments and commercial space to the Southern Tier.
