VIP Works with Pathfinder Bank to Restore 100 Year-Old Mansion on Syracuse’s Near Westside

VIP’s architects, engineers, and construction team have been hard at work restoring the 100-year-old mansion to its former glory and outfitting it for commercial use as the newest location of Pathfinder Bank. Many of its historic features have been exceptionally restored and well-preserved including extensive woodwork, stained glass windows, stretched fabric wall coverings, fireplaces and exterior corbels and masonry. Together, with Pathfinder, we are breathing new life into the former residence of pharmaceutical mogul, George C. Hanford that was designed by famed Syracuse Architects, Archimedes Russell & Melvin King. Careful attention, detail, and planning ensure the project maintains the architectural integrity of this 1910 Italian Renaissance Revival house. We are honored to be a part of Pathfinder’s mission to support economic development initiatives in our city’s near westside neighborhood.
