Feldmeier Equipment’s expansion project was named a Manufacturing Category Winner in the 2026 Varco Pruden Hall of Fame Awards. VIP served as design-builder for the 82,500 SF expansion of Feldmeier’s headquarters in Syracuse, New York, supporting increased production capacity and long-term growth. The project includes a 72,500 SF pre-engineered metal building manufacturing addition and a 10,000 SF warehouse, seamlessly integrated with the existing facility originally designed and built by VIP.
Presented annually by Varco Pruden (a division of BlueScope Buildings North America), the Hall of Fame Awards are a national program recognizing outstanding projects selected from submissions across the Varco Pruden builder network. This latest recognition marks the 24th time one of VIP’s industrial projects has been honored by the program since 1985, including three Hall of Fame projects in 2025 and a Best of Category win for the original Feldmeier facility in 2019.
The Varco Pruden Hall of Fame Awards recognize outstanding building projects that demonstrate excellence in the design and constructionof pre-engineered metal building systems.
From the outset, Feldmeier’s original facility and site were designed to support future expansion – a vision realized through this latest project. The 2025 addition required complex structural tie-ins across a 600-foot span, along with the integration of multiple overhead crane systems with strict tolerance requirements. Despite the complexity of tying into an active manufacturing operation, VIP completed the project efficiently while maintaining ongoing operations.
"This project represents a significant investment in our people, our operations, and the future of our company. This new facility positions Feldmeier Equipment for long term growth while reinforcing our commitment to manufacturing excellence and the Central New York Community.”
Colby Clark, President & CEO of Feldmeier Equipment.

This recognition builds on VIP’s longstanding partnership with Feldmeier Equipment and marks the second VIP–Feldmeier Hall of Fame Award win, reflecting a continued commitment to excellence in pre-engineered metal building design and construction.
By expanding in Syracuse, Feldmeier reinforced its commitment to Central New York, adding jobs and strengthening the region’s manufacturing sector.
