VIP Participates in J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge

On Tuesday, June 7th, a near-record crowd of 7,862 people from 280 companies participated in the 34th running of the Corporate Challenge at Onondaga Lake Park. VIP Structures put together a team of 15 employees who took part in the 3.5 mile run/walk. The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series is a world-wide series of running events open to groups of full-time employees from organizations within the business and public sectors. It is meant to be a fun event that promotes health and fitness in the workplace, and fosters team building among fellow employees. The event ends typically with teams gathering at their company tent for a post-race celebration. The Corporate Challenge strives to make a difference through a donation to a not-for-profit organization in each host city. In Syracuse, the JPMorgan Chase Foundation made a donation on behalf of all participants to Vera House, a first-time beneficiary partner with the Corporate Challenge. Vera House works to end domestic and sexual violence and elder abuse. Its services include counseling, advocacy, emergency shelter and education. Learn more about how you can help Vera House.
