Celebrating our people, milestones, and moments that matter.
At VIP, we believe success is built by people, and there’s plenty to celebrate across our teams this summer. From exciting company events to new team members and well-earned promotions, here’s a look at what’s new at VIP.
Welcome to Our Newest Team Members
We’re excited to welcome several talented individuals to the VIP team:
Nick Sustache joins as Controller of Construction and Development, bringing over a decade of accounting and finance experience across the construction, real estate, and retail sectors. Nick holds an MBA with a Certificate in Finance from East Carolina University and a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Cazenovia College.
Andrea Garvey joins VIP’s accounting team as a Senior Accounting Specialist, where she’ll support financial operations with her strong background in accounting and attention to detail.
Smita Duelkar joins full-time as a Data Analyst after completing a year-long internship. A recent Syracuse University graduate with a Master of Science in Information Technology, Smita has already made meaningful contributions—most notably in developing an internal AI tool to help employees easily access company resources and information.
Scott Perry joins VIP Architectural Associates, bringing more than 30 years of experience in architecture and project management. A Syracuse University alumnus with a Bachelor of Architecture, Scott is currently focused on VIPAA’s work with Turner Construction on the Joint School Construction Board (JSCB) Phase 3 project. This project will involve renovations and improvements to 10 school buildings within the Syracuse City School District.
Dan Sabino joins the engineering team, bringing over 25 years of specialized electrical experience. Dan will lead our newly formed Mission Critical Operations team, focusing on high-reliability infrastructure like data centers and emergency operations centers. Dan’s leadership will be instrumental in growing this essential practice area.
Well-Deserved Promotions
We’re proud to recognize the professional growth of several team members:
Jessica Wiestner has been promoted to Controller of Architecture and Engineering. Jessica has long played a critical role in the financial operations of our A&E companies. In this new leadership role, she will continue overseeing these operations while collaborating with the new VIP Holdings Controller to ensure unified, strategic financial management across all divisions.
Shannon Fordyce has been promoted to Project Cost Accountant. Since joining VIP in 2023 as a Purchasing Associate and Accounts Payable Specialist, Shannon has proven herself to be detail-oriented and dependable. In her new role, she will support the Construction team by tracking project costs, managing financial reporting, conducting budget analysis, and overseeing the accounts payable process.
Family Fun Fest: 50 Years of Building Together
In June, VIP team members and their families came together for Family Fun Fest, a milestone celebration honoring our 50th anniversary. Held on a beautiful summer day, the event featured food, games, music, and fun for all ages. It was a great opportunity to reconnect, recharge, and reflect on five decades of shared success and community.
Leadership Development: Investing in Our People
We’re proud to recognize Shannon Fordyce and Brynna Doody for completing the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training Course, a respected program focused on building confidence, communication, and leadership effectiveness.
VIP continues to invest in employee career development through trainings like Dale Carnegie, mentorship opportunities, and professional development tools. By supporting our team’s growth, we’re building not just better projects, but a stronger company.
