Over several years, VIP and Bluefors (formerly Cryomech) have partnered to strategically plan and deliver multiple advanced manufacturing projects to support the company’s industry growth. 

The partnership began with VIP as the developer and design-builder for a new 76,500sf high-tech manufacturing facility, completed in 2019. VIP supported every step of the project process from site selection and due diligence to early space and power planning, design, permitting, and construction—even owning and leasing the building to reduce capital burden and speed up occupancy. The new building included industrial, office, and storage space that enabled the team to manufacture more products in less time, continue its growth, and enhance its position as a global front-runner in cryogenic equipment research, development, and production. The project was delivered ahead of schedule in 2019 with plans and flexibility for future expansion. 

VIP and Bluefors’ partnered again to expand the original facility. Completed in 2024, the 35,000 SF manufacturing and office space addition increased production capacity by 45% and focused on enhancing operational performance and supporting future growth through: 

• A larger shipping department designed to improve throughput. 

• Enhanced vertical storage made possible by higher ceilings. 

• Relocation of the maintenance department to optimize efficiency and workflow. 

• Dedicated amenities for delivery services, including restrooms near the loading docks. 

• Advanced MEP systems tailored to Bluefors’ unique technical requirements. 

• Expanded employee spaces, including a larger break area, streamlined entrances, and updated locker facilities. 

• Modernized office and conference spaces designed to reflect Bluefors’ brand identity.
