In honor of our 50th anniversary, VIP hosted our second annual Day of Purpose, a company-wide initiative dedicated to giving back to the Central New York community. On September 10th, we stepped away from our desks and project sites to volunteer our time and talents in support of local organizations addressing critical community needs.
Our Day of Purpose brought together more than 40 employees who dedicated over 115 volunteer hours to community initiatives, including serving breakfast at the Samaritan Center, supporting animal care at CNY SPCA, assembling health care packages with ACR Health and outreach packets for the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center, packaging diapers at the CNY Diaper Bank, and supporting beautification efforts at the PEACE Emma L. Johnston Southside Family Resource Center (SSFRC).

We established the Day of Purpose in 2024 as part of our ongoing effort to live out our mission of building stronger communities. This employee-led initiative, guided by our Inclusive Leadership group, gives us the opportunity to engage in meaningful service that reflects our core values.
“This day reflects the heart of our culture. It’s inspiring to watch employees across every part of our organization roll up their sleeves to serve others. The Day of Purpose is about building stronger connections with each other and with the community we call home.”
The impact of the Day of Purpose extends beyond a single day of service. By supporting organizations that provide food, shelter, education, and critical resources, we help strengthen the fabric of our community while building relationships that continue throughout the year.
As we celebrate our 50th year in business, the Day of Purpose underscores our commitment to combining profitability with purpose—an ethos that has guided our work for five decades and will continue to shape our future
