Fifty years ago, Dave Nutting set out with a bold vision to integrate design and construction under one roof and established VIP Structures in Syracuse in 1975. What began as a small startup has grown into a thriving, fully integrated design-build firm with over 150 professionals. Over these decades, we’ve reimagined spaces, empowered industries, and made a lasting impact on the Central New York region.
Today, under the leadership of CEO Meg Tidd, VIP continues to build on its legacy of excellence, paving the way for a future of innovation and commitment to making an impact.

VIP designates December 5th as Founder’s Day in honor of our visionary founder, David C. Nutting, whose leadership, perseverance, and courage brought something exceptional to life—something that did not yet exist before his work began.
